Eric J. Alburn
Associate
Eric earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina, where he studied political science, criminal justice, and business administration and graduated magna cum laude. As an undergraduate, he gained experience through internships in political fundraising, activism, outreach, and volunteer engagement. During this time, Eric also organized and led a weekly Men’s Bible Study.
Eric received his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. While in law school, he worked in various part-time law clerk roles for both state and private entities, gaining experience in criminal law, personal injury law, and insurance law. He also participated in Carey Law’s Civil Rights of Persons with Disabilities Clinic, where he worked with fellow student-attorneys to assist the National Association of the Deaf with interviewing clients and filing civil rights and employment actions in both state and federal courts. After completing one semester as a student-attorney, Eric was selected by faculty to serve as a student supervising attorney, where he reviewed and edited court filings and client correspondence prepared by new clinic participants.
Following law school, Eric worked for a business consulting firm, where he developed experience in business law and regulatory compliance. He later served as the inaugural law clerk to the Honorable Patricia M. DeMaio of the Baltimore County Circuit Court. In that role, Eric gained valuable insight into trial preparation and litigation strategy from the court’s perspective, attending daily hearings and observing effective oral and written advocacy across civil, criminal, and family law matters.
Eric joined Landsman & Ronald in August 2025. His practice focuses on insurance defense litigation, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and construction-related matters.
Outside of the office, Eric enjoys hiking and cheering on the South Carolina Gamecocks.
